Honoring Your Personal Growth
Silver Fern Child and Family Therapy, Inc. holds the symbolism of the fern plant in all its various states of growth as the Māori (Native New Zealand) people connect with it. Mental Health therapy has a personal journey meant for each client and is a quality investment in seeking overall well-being. We want to offer a welcoming and safe place where you can process your emotions while creating the life you envision.
The silver fern begins its life in the shape of a koru (Māori for “loop”) and unfurls slowly to reveal the unique beauty of it's fronds as it catches the rays of the sun. The silver fern in its koru form symbolizes new beginnings, growth, and perpetual movement. In it's unfurled state it is symbolic for hope and new beginnings, awakening, personal growth, the spirit of rejuvenation, integrity, and peace.
The silver fern itself has dark green fronds on top with a distinctive silver color on its underside. As Māori legend states, when placed upside down on the forest floor, the fronds would catch the moonlight that illuminated a path for hunters and warriors to use as a guide to find their way to safety.
We hope that through partnership and collaboration, genuine empathy, and professional guidance, we may be able to help illuminate the path you seek.
